  2. An interesting poem, indeed. I had to think for a while what the five-eyed one might be - then I remembered the police car from Pixar's cars. (Here in Switzerland, police cars have two blue lights on top.)

  3. Neat poem. I wish the interstates were still like those in the photo. I think the car is a Ford Thunderbird.

  6. Great poem... I also believe that to be a Thunderbird. My first car was a 1962 Thunderbird.

  7. Very fun poem! I enjoyed reading it, thanks! Guts or brains do seem to describe the way some drivers drive.

    1. Btw, love the typeface. Is that from the Graphika?

    2. Yes, it is. A fun typewriter to use for short texts like this.

    3. I was wondering that too--the typeface looks very "New Yorker."

  10. Ha! You know, once upon a time Disney made a cartoon on this same subject. And as in your case, it has stuck with me!

  11. I had a book when I was young, "Matthew Looney's Voyage to the Earth". It was about moon people who embark upon an expedition to determine whether there is life on Earth. They land at the North Pole, determine that the planet is uninhabitable, and leave.
